The mission of the Worship and Arts Ministry is to encourage and enable God’s people at both our Prairie Village and Blue Valley campuses of Hillcrest Covenant Church to creatively and passionately worship Him, as Jesus said, in spirit and truth.  (John 4:24 NIV)

Daniel Brymer, Pastor or Worship  and Arts has a heart for ushering people into the presence of God using musical and other artistic elements in our services, by offering a wide assortment of opportunities for children, youth and adults to share and hone their creative gifts and talents.  Daniel’s stated vision is:  To proclaim the Gospel to the nations through the praise and worship of Jesus Christ.

Current Opportunities

Hillcrest Covenant Choir:  Open to those who have a love of singing and heart for worship.  The choir is under the skillful direction of Larry Stetler.  Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7 PM in Room 204 (Prairie Village campus).  The choir sings a wide variety of musical styles, from gospel and contemporary choruses to classic hymn arrangements and challenging choral literature.  (Prior choir or music experience is not necessary.)

Technical Crew:  This crew is trained and responsible for all sound reinforcement, media and lighting needs for our services and productions.  This crew is under the direction of Sandy Thailing, Media Director.

Worship Team:  This team leads the musical elements of our weekly worship services with their instruments and voices.  The Prairie Village campus team is under the direction of Daniel Brymer, Worship and Arts Pastor.  The Blue Valley campus team is under the direction of Aaron Mitchum, Blue Valley Pastor of Worship and Arts.

Decorating and Visual Arts Team:  This team creates visual elements for services and special events, including floral arrangements, banners and multimedia.  This team is under the creative direction of Lisa Kurtz.

Children’s and Youth Choirs:  Watch for seasonal opportunities for the children and youth to share their talents.

Vocal, Instrumental Soloists Ensembles:  Watch for seasonal and occasional opportunities in these areas.  Past offerings include an exceptional Brass Ensemble, a Youth String Ensemble, a Men’s Chorus, a Women’s Chorus and a Select Chorale.
