Alpha
Dec 8th
Alpha is the perfect place for people who are questioning, curious, or even antagonistic in regard to the Christian faith. It creates a culture of love and acceptance as we explore together the meaningful questions of life.

The Alpha Course is a ten-week opportunity to explore the practicality and relevance of the Christian faith to one’s life. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity centered around a meal, a talk, and a small group discussion. This can also be a wonderful refresher for your faith. Join us, won’t you?!
What happens at Alpha?
People sit down with a small group to enjoy a great home-cooked meal and conversation. We then listen to an interesting talk on various topics related to faith. After that small groups gather to discuss the talk in an informal, non-threatening setting.
What are the topics covered in the talks?
Christianity: Boring, Irrelevant, Untrue? Who Is Jesus? Why Did Jesus Die? Why and How Do I Read the Bible? Why and How Do I Pray? How Does God Guide Us? What About the Holy Spirit? How Can I Overcome Evil? Why and How Should I Tell Others? Does God Heal Today? What About the Church?
What about the kids of people who want to come to Alpha?
Alpha Bits! This is a fabulous program for kids ages infants to 6th grade which also includes a meal, interactive learning time, and lots of fun!
The new Alpha course begins September 20, 2010 at the Hillcrest-PV site. For questions or to sign up contact alphainfo@hillcrestcov.org or call 913-901-2312.
